egoods_landscape 3 in 1. A parent theme with 3 localized child themes!

This Wordpress Theme comes with all layered psd files, a visual help guide and in two languages: English/German.

Check the screenshots for a preview of the admin area.

Additionally you may get the layered PSD only, or just the coded XHTML template for use in the cms of your choice. Use the buttons below to navigate.

The Theme Features:

Templates:

Parent theme with child themes for stress free theme updates. Create your own child theme or modify one of the ones provided,
Home page:
1. Choose one of 2 layout options for displaying a featured product from a category of your choice (see screenshots):
  1. Display the product’s image to the left and a short description to the right or
  2. Display a promotional image at the top and the description below.
2. Display 3 of your latest products from each of 3 different categories which you can set from the Theme’s Options,
Category page:
1. The title of each product displays along with it’s thumbnail image,
2. There’s an "Add to cart" button to directly add an item into the shopping cart and
3. A sidebar tabed content displays the subcategories of the main category the user is currently browsing and a tag cloud
Single Page:
1. A tabed content area displays the following:
  1. Product Overview
  2. Read Reviews
  3. Write a review
  4. Listen to a Sample -featuring FlowPlayer
2. An area bellow displays:
  1. The subcategories of the main category the user is currently browsing and
  2. Upto 5 tag related products
Other:
1. Give and receive Gift Vouchers/Certificates,
2. Pagination (no need for a plugin) when viewing products in multible post pages,
3. Breadcrumb navigation using the Breadcrumb-NavXT plugin.
4. Contact form using a slightly modified version of the Secure and Accessible PHP Contact Form v.2.0WP for WordPress
5. Search

Images:

The thumbnail images are added using custom fields,
Easily have a Category specific image for each main (parent) category and a page specific image for each page and subpage by simply creating your image and dropping it inside the theme’s images folder

The Shop Products:

Your Digital Products are set using posts.
Upon payment confirmation, your customers are given their downloads link. Decide how long this link will be made available to them. From 5 minutes to 72 hours.

The Shop Merchant Admin Options:

Theme Options:

Provide Basic Information about your shop
Configure your PayPal account
Set up the Confirmation email send to your customers
Configure the PDF document with the customer’s order
Configure your digital products and upload license keys for them upon choice

Manage your Orders:

View the information of each received order:
- When?
- Who?
- How much?
Manualy send emails to individual customers (for pending orders)
Print order invoices
View PayPal transaction id’s

Statistics:: View Sales Statistics

Theme Requirements:

Webserver operating system Unix, Linux (no Windows Server please)
PHP 5

Does the theme support the sale of non-digital goods? Interested in developing a site to sell products that will be shipped to the buyer overnight. All shipping costs are factored into the cost per item. Thoughts?

  At the moment eGoods as the name suggests is only for digital downloads. You may be interested however in one of the other themes that have this ability (selling tangible goods) such as the folioShop, ArtShop and wpShop.
  
  We will be releasing more themes soon so people can have more choice

Would you be interested in customizing this theme to sell only a single product and streamlining the process?

I just need to sell a single downloadable product and would like to eliminate the add to cart, click cart, chose delivery steps.

  there is a help file along that helps with installing and configuring the theme however this is not your average WordPress blog so don’t expect it to be! It requires some set-up.
  
  That said, it does follow the general theme installation pattern as most WordPress themes and you will fill it with posts and pages as you would other themes. As this is an eCommerce theme it does require that you feel comfortable with the use of custom fields and Theme Settings.
  
  Saying you have no technical knowledge at all does not say much to my as I’ve dealt with people that said that also but the managed just fine however if you have your doubts please consider hiring someone to help you out.

I am interested in the eGoods template and have few questions prior to purchase:
1. Does the template require any specific capabilities for ecommerce except PHP hosting. I will be using hostgator (if that helps).
2. Is it possible to change the qty of an item in the cart? I could not do it in the demo.
3. Are the users able to register such that their information is stored for future purchases.
4. Is it possible to customize the front page with some additional plugins that can showcase multiple products instead of just one as shown in the demo.

  1. Please refer to the theme requiremements as mentioned on it’s dedicated theme page on Theme Forest
  
  2. eGoods can handle only digital goods. The quantity does not change as the goods are just that: Digital!
  
  3. If you are looking for a membership area then you should propably be looking at The Clothes Shop or The Furniture Store
  
  4. You will have to manually add the needed code for that if you have the skills. If you are looking for an existing product showcase then you may be interested in The Furniture Store as the Front Page slider has this option already built in.
