The folioShop theme is created for people who’d like to showcase their work, maintain a blog and sell tangible items nationwide and/or downloadable items.
The folioBlog has all the functionality of the folioShop just without the shop.
This fully localized Wordpress Theme comes with all layered psd files, a visual help guide, an installation wizard and already in two full languages: English and German and in part: French and Italian
Check the screenshots for a preview of the admin area.
Additionally you may get the layered PSD only, or just the coded XHTML template for use in the cms of your choice. Use the buttons below to navigate.

Templates:-
- Parent theme with child themes for stress free theme updates. Create your own child theme or modify one of the ones provided,
- Tabed Theme Options for better organization ( see screenshots )
- Choose between 3 different sliders
- image with text -manual (per click) slide
- image with text -automatic slide and direct hover navigation
- image only -automatic slide and direct hover navigation
- Optional custom excerpts for Shop posts, Gallery posts, Blog posts and posts viewed under their respective tags from the theme’s options page,
- Category and single specific templates are used that are dynamically adjusted to your category ID’s without the need that you manually rename any of the files. 1st and 2nd and 3rd level categories as well as their single post pages have been taken into account.
- Subcategories and Subpages are dynamically detected and a "Browse by Category" section or "In this Section" for pages appears in the sidebar,
- Similar to the above, a "Related" section will appear in the sidebar if a category has more than one post.
- Site-wide Archives as well as Blog-only Archives
- Appealing Bookmark Links with images are used for the Favorate Links page and for the Ads section in the sidebar
- Out-of-the-way sidebar when viewing the Gallery categories and single posts. Also used for the Blog’s single posts. Foldable shop categories
- Integrated and styled pagination for posts

Images:-
Images are added directly into the post content and automatically resized for you. No need to install any plugins or 3rd party php scripts for using this feature! No need to use custom fields for producing image thumbnails!
Landscape, Portrait and Square images have been taken into account and a thumbnail copy of your images (the size of which you can custom define in the theme’s options page) is created for you preserving the image’s ratio.

Excellent theme and outstanding support. Highly recommended purchase for people willing to set up a shop in Wordpress quickly.
Not sure if this is the pace to do it but I have a comment/bug to report. In the folioShop theme settings you specify the HEIGHT of the product image thumbnail to be used in the shopping cart. However, when you actually view the shopping cart the value you entered is used as WIDTH instead of height.
Example:
Thumbnail Size is set up to 100, the description says: ‘Define the HEIGHT for the thumbnail size of your images’
In the shopping cart the image markup looks as follows:

video support has already been requested and I am considering of adding it in. It will help if I can have some more details as to how you plan to use video with this theme. This way I can think about the best way of connecting the two. If you like to email me about it that would be great.

I don’t want to speak for Antonio, but I could also make use of the video. Video tutorials and sales could be the main interest. Short video previews could be made available before selling them in bigger formats.

I guess I know where you are heading – which flash player to use.
Although I prefer to host everything locally, I’m sure there are the ones who would prefer to embed videos from video sharing sites like vimeo and YouTube.

To answer your question, if there were an embed option from a sharing site, I would prefer to use vimeo. It’s simple, clean and easily customizable.

We’d like to setup our site right away and implement the shop later. Is it possible to “disable” the shop so it doesn’t show and then later enable it?
Alternatively, can we purchase folioblog now and upgrade to folioshop later without much hassle?
Hello Brandon, the download files contain both themes. So when you purchase you get both the folioShop and the folioBlog together. You can do both what you suggested but I’d recommend to set up the folioShop and simply not create any product posts.
As WordPress does not display empty (with no published posts) categories by default then the Shop category will not appear until you publish some product posts inside!
If one wanted, one could even set up his products and save them as drafts and again they would not show until one is ready to publish them.

Hi, I was wondering how easy it would be for me to change the word ‘cart’ to ‘bag’ in the folioshop theme to fit in more with the uk market? Also, in wpShop to change ‘Add to cart’ and ‘View cart’ to ‘Add to bag’ and ‘View bag’, in fact any reference to the word cart?

If you want the products in folioShop to open in a lightbox then that needs to be programmed in.
Regarding the w-photostudio-again if you need the shop integrated it will need to be coded in.
Both are custom work so if you want to, you are most welcome to hire us for the job.

Greetings from Germany to Germany! One of my customers is interested in your shop, but there’s one decisive question: Is it possible to include discounts for our goods, e.g. Product X costs 20 Euro. But if you take five or more, you only pay 18. Or: A discount of 5% for every order above 100 Euro. Thanks in advance!

I think it’s a bit easier for user if there would be a light box that says “1 item added. Total: $456. Check out | Continue shopping” when an item is added to cart. I was first looking for a while where to check out. Or is it just me?

I intent to sell something like calling card. I will not ship the actual card to buyer. I would like the card details being mailed to the buyer immediately when the payment is through. Is it possible with folioShop
