  • I was wondering if you were considering adding google checkout as a payment option. I would love to use this template for a site I am getting ready to launch. thanks,
    Stuart

    • Stuart,

the thing with Google checkout is that if you want the customer to return back to your site after payment, it requires an SSL certificate. Or if you want a more “developer language”: Google Checkout requires SSL for the response handler to post orders back to admin.

August is pretty much booked out for us but we are more than happy to work with you after that (September) to develop the solution for you. Contact us by email if you are interested.

      Thanks

  • Does this template also consider if the shipping address is different to the actual billing address?

    Thanks
    T.

    • Thomas, as the customer is let to a payment gateway ourside the shop my first answer to your question was yes.

      The process is the following:

Customer choses delivery and payment method in step 1 of the checkout process, enters his information and adress in step 2; on step 3 he reviews his order and then taken to the chosen payment gateway where he transfers the amount to be payed.

After payment he returns to the shop where he is given the opportunity to print a pdf bill for his records, there however the address used is the one he entered in step 2 of the checkout process. So in this situation the answer to your question is no.

I imagine this is what you were refering too, an I correct? Let me know.

      • Exactly!

Just imagine someone has an office address and a delivery address or if someone wants to send an item as a present.

It would be optimal if while filing the adress in step 2, you can specify the delivery adress if different from invoicing adress.

Since I have seen that you are based in Germany. Have you checked the overall compliance of the template with German regulatories for internet commerce (for instance I have seen the AGB confirmation button). Would be good to know, if you already checked these points.

Thank you for your support. It seems that your template is a great solution for our needs.

        Best,
        Thomas

        • Right, I know this is good to add in but at the moment as this update has just been complited (and we badly need a break) this feature will have to wait a little. However, you are more than welcome to hire us to put it in for you ;)

Are you also based in Germany?

  • Can you tell me what main different elements between wpShop-Reloaded and wpShop please?

I’m going to use it for Jewelry site but not sure which one I need to buy.

    Thanks,

    Young

    • Hey there you are not the first to ask this so here it is:

The ecommerce functionality is the same
The differences are in the design. . Both themes resize the thumbnails for “more views” automatically.

So these are the design differences:

      1. wpShop-reloaded can take a static home page and a blog

wpShop doesn’t as it is coded

      2. The product categories in wpShop-reloaded are designed this way: parent categories display child categories (with category specific images) then child categories display products. Of course if you have no child categories then the main categories will display the products directly

The product categories in wpShop are only first level categories and display the products directly

      3. wpShop-reloaded has a more appealing design (at least to me :) )

      • For reloaded, can I still change templat’s look and feel, right? This is first time to use wordpress.

        Thanks for your fast email!
        Young

  • I’m 90% sure that i will buy this product, I just want to ask if its possible to make the shopping area accessibleonly by members only, and send the members info when cheking out

    • Something like that will need to be coded in. Let us know if you are interested in hiring us for the project.

I’m back Sept. 1st so feel free to contact me again then with more details on what exactly is needed.

  • Hello

    The theme looks excellent!

Does the theme and shopping cart system support multi language?
I am interested in Japanese in particular.

    Thank you.

  • Is the logo image editable for the reloaded theme? Is there an option to add a header image? A standard header (rectangular with logos, etc.)?

If the logo is simply floating over the white or gray background, I assume no header can be added, as the logo is a clickable element?

Sorry for all the questions – I’m debated on whether this theme would work for a current client.

    • Allen, everything you see is editable. I have the sliced psd included and all you have to do is make your changes, save your new image using the same file name as the original and upload in according to the instructions given in the help file.
You can add any background image you want via css. The logo is simply a background image itself on an h1 element. If you do not want it to be clickable you may remove the anchor inside the h1 tag.

Hope this helps answer your question

  • Thanks for the prompt response. I assumed that you would include the sliced psd, but wanted to be 100% sure before the purchase.

  • One more question…is this theme compatible with the WP e-Commerce plugin? It has a wonderful drag and drop shopping cart option, as well as Next Gen gallery options, etc.

    Thanks!
    Allen

    • The theme was designed to work with our own ecommerce solution so no it has not been created for the wp e-commerce plugin nor for any other plugin for that matter. We intend to keep improving our solution and keep adding new features to all of our themes-in fact the one we are working on right now “The Clothes Shop” has the most advanced functionality build in yet (in comparison to our other themes) So we believe our work is worth keeping an eye on :)

  • Thanks, Sarah. Perfectly understandable – you’ve built a wonderful theme and we’re all thanking you for it!

The Clothes Shop sounds great we can’t wait to see what you have in store for the new release.

I’ll more than likely use WP Shop on a new client site, so you’ll be hearing from me soon.

Thanks for all of your hard work.

  • Oh what a beautiful dilemma. You actually have two options here that would be perfect for someone like me, a crafter with small inventory offering digital downloads, but would like to able to also sell some tangible items along-side. As both a WP and ecommerce newbie, (very frustrated with a free version of a shop plugin I have at the moment, and not too sure I should upgrade it) I’ve just spent a couple hours here going back and forth between the Art Shop and wpShop reloaded demos, reading and re-reading the questions and the very excellent level of support here.

I love it that you allow for the possibility to sell both digital and tangible together, and that you even have integration for Payloadz, which is what I’m using now, but that I can even change my mind about that later. I think you’ve thought of everything.

In the end, I think I will be fine and delighted with wpSHOP. Sold! :-)

    • Barbara,
glad you like our work :) One little note here to prevent any misunderstandings.

The Payloadz mode takes over the entire shopping cart which means you cannot sell tangible goods alongside digital anymore. Digital and tangible products can co-exist if the digital are self hosted.
I just wanted to make that clear before you purchased so you decide if this is the best theme for you.

  • How do I add an image to the category? Am I missing a custom field? Thank you! (http://is.gd/4ArWR)

  • Guten Tag Frau Neuber,
Habe ich bei diesem theme vollen zugriff auf das css?
    Besten dank.

  • Dear Sarah,
Please correct me if I’m wrong, there is a updated version for this (compared to the one i bought) is it? If so, are there any instructions on how to update it or is it done by default??

  • Hi Sarah,

Found you on themeforest but posting the comment here as well.

Is it possible to only accept payment via cash and not make use of a payment gateway at all?

I have a client that would like to start of with accepting cash only.

    Regards

    franwess

    • Yes, I did see your comment there and replied to it :)

So this is what you mean by manual payments. Cash! So would that be payment on location? If so we have that payment option available.

Have you had the chance to look through the features.pdf I link to from the theme’s description on TF?

  • hey, I am really interested in this for my shop but I have no knowledge whatsoever in regards to websites. What is the difference between CSS,PSC and W?

    I am really confused.

    Thanks

  • Hi Sarah!
I am really interested in getting this for my online store. However, I need to clarify some things. Can I change the color scheme? I am thinking of putting up a babies store and I would like softer colors. Can I change the background? I would like a textured background? Much like a page with a watermark? Can I also change the fonts used? If yes, will it be easy for me to change them? I have no design nor web knowledge whatsoever so I will have to look for someone to edit it for me just in case. Sorry for so many questions. Thanks!

    Warm regards,
    em

  • Hi Sarah! I am not sure if you got my message last Friday so I am rewriting my questions. I am interested in getting this for my online store. However, I have a few questions. Can I change the background colors? I am going to use this for a kids store and I want the colors to be softer (eg. light yellow, light blues, pinks and greens). I also want to change the fonts used. Can I do this? Will it be easy for me to change them since I don’t have any html knowledge.

    Thanks!

    Warm regards,
    em

    • em, sorry for the long delay. I was away and just got back.

You can edit anything design related easily with some basic css knowledge. If you have none then you will be better off if you hire someone to help you. If you know of no one let me know as I can forward you to someone.

      Hope this helps :)

  • Hi Sarah,

I’m very interested to purchase wp-shop reloaded. wanna ask you, is there a limitation to how many products that can be uploaded? Does this theme supports currency in Malaysian Ringgit? Thanks in advance.

    • Agnes, I would seriously encourage you to consider one of the newer themes we have (Clothes, Furniture or Jewelry) as the code has greatly improved since the wpShop reloaded has been released. The newer theme support all currencies.
Regarding whether there is a limit to the products that can be uploaded, as these are really WordPress posts it’s like asking Does WordPress have a limit to how many posts you can post? That’s your answer right there :)

      • Thank you for your prompt reply. I received this message of yours only after I purchased the wp-shop reloaded. But it’s okay. I visited the demo site of The Jewelry and yes, i see what you mean, there’s more features in it! Will make another purchase now. I’m just hoping i can manage to set up my online shop soon. :) thanks again sarah!
